  • TOURNAMENT REPORT
Sign of the times: Made the cut, did not finish
Craig Kanada made the cut at the Buick Invitational yesterday, but that was Kanada and his caddie packing up and heading home after his round on the South Course.

  • Weekley in the hunt after shooting 66
His hero is Ben Hogan, one of his main sponsors is the camouflage company Mossy Oak, and he lists God, family, fishing, hunting and golf as his main loves. And pretty much in that order.

  • Couples back in the lineup

  • The pickup game over at Torrey ...
Scene and heard yesterday in and around the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines:  Day 2 began with promise and then got better as storm clouds allowed blue sky to play through. Galleries were light for the first groups off, perhaps because the first-round leaders and name players had later tee times.
