WASHINGTON – The EPA is offering auto repair shops an updated brochure aimed at preventing asbestos exposure while service technicians do brake and clutch work. “Current Best Practices for Preventing Exposure Among Brake and Clutch Repair Workers” is available at epa.gov/asbestos/pubs/brakesbrochure.html.

Asbestos fibers embedded in the lungs can cause diseases such as asbestosis, lung cancer or mesothelioma.
