Scripps Mercy Hospital Well Being Center will have a Spanish Postpartum Depression Support Group from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today. Free. Location: 311 Del Mar Ave., Chula Vista. For more information, call (619) 691-7273.

Kids program

A free drop-in recreation program will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Aug. 11 at three National City recreation centers: El Toyon, Camacho and Manuel Portillo. The program runs Mondays to Fridays. Kids will participate in crafts, water games, movies, cooking, field trips, computers, sports, contests and ceramics. The free program may also be available at Kimball Recreation Center if the specialty camps being held there aren't filled. For more information, call (619) 336-4290. Driver safety

Norman Park Center will host an AARP Driver Safety Course from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday and June 21. Cost is $10. Location: 270 F St., Chula Vista. The class is for drivers 55 and older who would like to brush up on their driving skills. For more information, call (619) 691-5086.

Chula Vista is looking for candidates for the military “Veteran of the Year 2006.” Must be a resident of the city.
