Rancho Santa Fe spotlight

Rancho Santa Fe Art Guild artists will demonstrate their techniques as part of a new program called Art and Music in the Courtyard.

The free events are held twice a month on Fridays in the courtyard of the guild's gallery at 6004 Paseo Delicias in Rancho Santa Fe.

At 3:30 p.m. this Friday, fiber artist Nadine Spier will demonstrate her work and talk with interested visitors. She will work for several hours, depending on weather and light.

Spier specializes in contemporary woven vessels and woven sculpture. Her work has appeared in museums around the country.

Guitarist Justin Helland will provide musical entertainment.
