Dates for San Diego's two bowl games officially were announced yesterday.
The second annual San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl will be held Dec. 19, a Tuesday, at 5 p.m. It will match a Mountain West Conference team against an at-large team. The game, which will be the first of the bowl season, will be televised on ESPN2.
The 29th Pacific Life Holiday Bowl will be Dec. 28, a Thursday, at 5 p.m. It will match the No. 2 team from the Pac-10 vs. the third selection from the Big 12. It will be televised by ESPN.
Both games will be played at Qualcomm Stadium.
