Police looking for robbery suspect

EL CAJON – El Cajon police are seeking help from the public to find a man who committed armed robbery near Lexington Drive and Mollison Avenue Friday night.

The man was described as being in his mid-30s, 5-foot-6, 180 pounds with brown bushy hair. He pulled up to the victim in an older-model white van around 10 p.m., as the victim was walking to his car. El Cajon police said the man pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the victim and demanded money. The victim didn't have any money, but handed over his wallet containing credit cards.

Armed robber enters house; takes jewelry

KENSINGTON – A man armed with a short-barreled shotgun robbed a home near Adams Avenue and 40th Street Friday night, San Diego police said.

The robber entered the home on Adams through an unlocked front door, pointed the weapon at a 53-year-old man and demanded money. The victim handed over his wallet and some jewelry to the robber, who then fled on foot through an alley. The robbery occurred around 10:17 p.m.

The suspect was described as a man in his 30s, unshaven, with receding hair and a thin build. He wore a green shirt and tan pants. – Helen Gao

Carjackers beat up man in National City

CITY HEIGHTS – An 18-year-old man was carjacked Friday night near Myrtle and Fairmount avenues and later beaten by the carjackers, the San Diego police said.

The victim was in his 2000 Dodge Neon at 10:17 p.m. when he was surrounded by two cars occupied by men. Two of the carjackers put a knife to the victim's throat and forced him out of the driver's seat. The carjackers drove him to National City where the victim ran away. The carjackers chased him and beat him up, then drove away in the victim's car.

The victim's nose and one his eyes were injured. His car was later found on Bates Street. – Helen Gao
